Online support from a Registered non-diet Nutritionist.

My work is person centered and neurodiversity-affirming.

I support all adults, including neurodivergent folks. This means I embrace your individuality and differences, whether you have a diagnosis or not. It is not my role to tell you what to think or feel, or what to do. I sit beside you in partnership, and we work together to find the right answers for you.

My approach is based on your needs; we go at your pace and safety is core to everything we explore. I work exclusively online, offering video and telephone appointments.

If you find yourself at the lowest point of your diet journey, unable to endure further restrictions that compromise your happiness, health and wellbeing, it’s time to consider professional support.

If you find your own sensory preferences with food hard to explain and difficult to mask, I can help you find food freedom and safety.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the conflicting dietary advice for menopause, I will help you meet your specific needs, preferences, and health goals with a personalised approach.

If you're seeking assistance in shedding harmful beliefs about food and navigating through the maze of unsolicited advice bombarding you from all directions - it’s time to seek help from a qualified nutritionist with a lifetime of nutrition experience.

What to expect when working with me

During our time together, I’ll provide tailored advice and ongoing support to help you understand your diverse needs and navigate the challenges you face in a food and body obsessed world. I aim to create a supportive and inclusive space for you during our sessions, and when you book my 12-week 1:1 support package or a smaller block of 4 sessions, you will also receive ongoing support via WhatsApp or email in between sessions; meaning I am by your side to help you celebrate your wins and also support you through the messy days.

As someone with lived experiences, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, combining professional knowledge with personal insights.

Once you’ve shared your story with me during your free 30 minute consult, I’ll be able to advise which of my standard services would best suit your needs (you won’t need to make a decision or sign up on the spot).

If we can’t find a service that suits your needs, this is when we can discuss creative ways to meet your needs and budget - I believe support should be made accessible to all.

1:1 Coaching

I offer 3 types of service as standard.

Pay per session

Ideal for those who don’t feel ready to commit to ongoing sessions or those who want to dip their toe into the experience.

1 x 30 minute session is £60

During this 30 minutes, you can expect to come away feeling less alone, knowing you make more sense and with 1-2 things to try next.

1 x 60 minute session is £100

In this one hour together, we will work through one to three challenges you are finding most difficult at the moment; making sense of your experiences, unpacking any obstacles and putting steps in place to help you move forward. I'll provide any tools and resources to help you.

Please note: Pay per session options do not include ongoing support between sessions. If this is something you’d like to add on, please let me know during our call and we can arrange that at an additional fee of £25 for one week.

Block of four

During our free 30-minute discovery call we’ll get a good idea about how you feel about ongoing support vs a one off session. If we feel that you need some level of ongoing support, a block of 4 is ideal for you.

You book your 4 sessions up front, so they’re in your diary - great if you like to know what’s coming up and plan ahead. This can help you feel a sense of knowing and accountability which many of my clients say helps them to integrate new understandings and learnings in between sessions - they come to our next call with their experience and questions / concerns that have arisen during that time.

4 x 60-minute sessions (£425)

To be used within 2 months for maximum impact because once you gain momentum it’s best to keep going to work through the shifts you experience.

Option to spread the cost over 2 or 3 months (2 x £212.50 or 3 x £141.66)

When booking a block of 4 you also get ongoing support from me via email and messaging following each sessions (up to 4 weeks worth of support)

You can reschedule your appointments but must provide 24 hours notice.

Please note: I offer a limited number of appointments with reduced fees for clients in education or experiencing financial hardship. If you need my reduced fees, please check the relevant box on the discovery call booking form.

12 week support package

Longer term support with ongoing support between sessions.

This longer term option is open to you if you’re feeling stuck and can’t put yourself through more restriction, self berating and sacrificing your happiness for a number on the scale or others expectations; needing help to unlearn damaging and unhelpful beliefs about food; feeling lost amidst all of the contradictory and unsolicited ‘advice’ being thrust at you by friends, family, colleagues and the media; embarrassed about changes in your body during menopause.

As part of this package you also get a welcome pack containing:

🍩 an overview of what to expect

🍩 details of how and when to contact me for support outside of sessions

🍩 self-reflection worksheets

🍩 my very own educational guides

🍩 external resource list (all the best books, podcasts and accounts to follow on Instagram)

🍩 an introduction to my referral scheme

What to expect after 12 weeks working with me

At the 12-week point, it’s likely you will have created new skills and self care practices needed to continue building a healthier relationship with food and your body.

Before our last call, we’ll go over your progress and discuss next steps.

I must emphasise the healing and recovery process is different for everyone; there is no set time frame for this journey.

If you’d like to continue working with me, we can decide the frequency of our sessions together and what you’d like them to look like - you can choose to carry on with the same format, or reduce to monthly review sessions so you continue to feel supported.

12 x weekly 60-minute sessions (£1200)

Option to spread the cost over 3 or 6 months (3 x £400 or 6 x £200)

6 x fortnightly 60-minute sessions (£725)

Option to spread the cost over 3 or 6 months (3 x £241.66 or 6 x £120.83)

You can reschedule your appointments but must provide 24 hours notice.

Please note: I offer a limited number of appointments with reduced fees for clients in education or experiencing financial hardship. If you need my reduced fees, please check the relevant box on the discovery call booking form.

She presents it with humour whilst at the core of her material, there is a strong evidence base from both the literature along with her personal and professional experience and journey over many years..”

    Ian

  • “I am so relieved to be on a steady, peaceful path that does not involve food restriction but does include eating – and enjoying – a wide range of foods that satisfy; regular, enjoyable exercise; regular “checking in” with my feelings and just enjoying life and myself much more. I would urge anyone with similar issues to take that first step and have a chat with Mel.”

FAQs

No problem! Just send them over to me here

  • I use the term non-diet because it helps identify me as someone prepared to focus on helping my clients improve their overall physical, mental and emotional health rather than making weight loss the primary outcome. A non-diet approach respects body diversity and holds the client as the expert in their lived experience. Non-diet is often used interchangeably with anti-diet but personally, I’m not keen on the anti bit. It feels a bit angsty and I also don’t want to imply that if you’ve dieted, you made a wrong choice or are a bad person - this is absolutely NOT the case.

  • It is not my role to tell you not to want weight loss. For so many reasons, the desire to lose weight can be deeply ingrained and there is no switch to flip, to remove that desire. What I can do however is meet you where you are.

We can certainly work on improving health and any behaviours that concern you. Whilst I don’t think it’s ethical for me to focus purely on client weight loss, it is ok that you are having these feelings and I do understand the impact diet culture has on all of us. If you feel ready, I can invite you to allow me to support you further to explore and understand your feelings about your body.

  • No, you don’t need a formal diagnosis to work with me. I believe we know more about our own bodies and minds than anyone else, and I trust that you wouldn’t be coming to me for support if you didn’t need to. This in itself makes self-diagnosis valid and reliable and of course, how difficult is it to access diagnostic assessments. Everyone is welcome to work with me.

  • I would love to work with insurance companies, but this is not feasible for me at the moment. However, I do offer a limited number of appointments with reduced fees for clients in education or experiencing financial hardship. If you would like to know more, please contact me here.
